Helping & Educating Families about EDC Exposure Nationwide

Pregnancy, Baby and You is a nonprofit organization that aims to spread education and awareness about the consequences of endocrine disrupting chemical (EDC) exposure on pregnancy to community members wanting to start families. We frame our work with the interdisciplinary life course theory perspective to demonstrate the continuous accumulation of chemical exposure, their impact across generations, and the role of social contexts. On our site, we provide information about the biological mechanisms of EDCs and how they affect pregnancy and post-conceptual development while also discussing the health disparities found in levels of EDC exposure due to social contexts. To combat the health safety concerns regarding EDCs and pregnancy, our nonprofit provides a free educational program for families, pamphlets to increase awareness, resources to influence policy, and a question forum to build community.
