Narrator: Navigating pregnancy can be difficult, especially when it comes to making decisions regarding what you should put in your body that will be safe for both you and baby.

Person #1: Hey do you know if this [holds up beauty product] is safe to use while pregnant?

Person #2: I have no idea. Can makeup products even be dangerous during pregnancy?

Person #1: I’m not sure. There are Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals that can be harmful right? Are these chemicals you should avoid while pregnant? Do any personal care products contain those chemicals?

Person #2: I’m not sure I even know what Endocrine Disrupting chemicals are, but makeup needs FDA approval, shouldn’t that mean all makeup is safe, even for pregnant people?

Person #3: “Hi, I am Annabelle, and this is Lisa and we are two of the founders of Pregnancy, Baby and You. We understand how difficult it can be to find information about what types of products are best for you and for your baby. Pregnancy is an exciting time, but it is also an essential period for your developing child and it is important that you are conscious of what you put in your body. After our research, we found that there is a lack of information regarding harmful substances called Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals that can cause substantial physiological differences in a developing fetus that can be seen both in birth outcomes and later in your child’s life.

Person #4: That is why we created our educational program “Prenatal EDC Awareness”. We wanted to make sure everyone had a resource into understanding these chemicals and how to limit their exposure. Through our program, you will learn how these chemicals affect the body during pregnancy and how they can cause changes to your baby. You will also learn about current gaps in policy allowing these chemicals to be continuously manufactured as well as who are more likely to be affected by these chemicals.

[Back to store and show people buying products with less confusion]

Person #1: I am so glad we took Pregnancy, Baby and You’s educational course. I feel so much more confident about shopping now.

Narrator: Navigating pregnancy can be difficult, but with Pregnancy, Baby and You’s education program “Prenatal EDC Awareness”, you will be able to better understand how products and the world around you can influence the health of your developing child.
